Snežnik 4 seasons (Analog archive)
Hello, photography lovers! 😎 📷
I took the time to prepare some photos to post in this community. These are archive photos from 1985 and (or) 1986 when I was still a young amateur photographer, a member of a local photography club, and enthusiastically shooting around. I then had slides made from the photos, some 600 of them I counted. I spent some time doing this and projecting them, finally putting them in a box and forgetting all about it :)
Forty years have passed since then, and I don't do much photography now, except with my phone. But three months ago, I got a device for scanning slides and photos, Tevion TV 7100 Multiscanner for Slides/Negatives/photos. It was time to digitize this archive of mine, and I did. I now have about 600 digitized photos from that adolescent period. They are mostly landscapes and flowers, and some portraits, which was the fashion at the time. However, as a matter of principle, I don't post portrait photos anywhere.
That's my first archive post. First of all, I have to admit that the slides show the years. Although they were in a sealed box, there was dust and various artifacts. That may be the charm of these vintage photos.
This is a post about Mount Snežnik, 1796 m high, the mountain closest to me. The photos were taken at different times of the year. The hill is shot from other approaches; perhaps the most attractive are the winter shots. There was a photo opportunity every time we climbed it, just like now. Snežnik is also a popular destination for hikers, and hundreds of photos, including similar ones to the ones here, taken when hiking to the top in places with nice views, are available on the internet.
As I look at them now, the photos are nothing special. I don't know why I was so impressed by them that I had the slides made. It was probably more because of the time-consuming process of making analog photos. Framing, golden sectioning, different exposures, and so on were not my forte. But what do I want? After all, we learn throughout our lives :) 😀
Also, I have seen that it often mentions what it was photographed with. I'm not really into analog photography, but at the photography club, we were recommended the Canon-AE1, a popular camera at the time and suitable for beginners. I sold it a long time ago.

Finally, here's a photo of my scan taken with a Pixel 7Pro phone because it took a few days.
I also lightly processed the photos in Photoshop.
Not too much. I cropped photos, removed the most prominent artifacts, and color-corrected some because they were too red, but I'm unsure why. It could be due to the film's aging. What do I know?
Thank you for your attention.
And here's something else:
