New Tunes 4.4.2025
Hello, music friends! πΆ
New Friday and the #newtunes! What more could you want? Well, maybe the Hive to go up a bit, but that's another story :)
Here we go again with a weekly selection of fresh music from well-known, lesser-known, and even unknown artists who want to thrill us with their creations. Whether they will succeed is unknown, but they are well on their way.
There are eight songs of different genres, and if you have time, you can support the musicians by listening. If you like something, you can dig deeper. If you don't like something, just skip it!

The Hives - Enough Is Enough
The Hives is a Swedish band I've mentioned a few times here. On April 1st, they started a world tour to promote their new seventh album, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, which will be released in August this year. Energetic, guitar-driven punk'n'roll that doesn't repeat itself, they get better year after year. Maybe I'm a bit subjective, but I'm a fan :)
Shinedown - Dance, Kid, Dance
Shinedown, an American band from Jacksonville, Kentucky, also announced yesterday the Dance, Kid, Dance tour with a single of the same name. Rock music, a melodic punk and metal mix, will surely attract many listeners. There are only two concerts in Europe, England and the Czech Republic, and the rest in the USA. The price of tickets may go up because of customs, who knows? Fans hurry up!
Igorrr - ADHD
Gautier Serre, the eccentric French musician, and composer better known as Igorrr, has been working for over twenty years, combining different styles in his songs, from heavy metal, baroque music, operetta, trip-hop, and electronica. He has released five albums, the latest, Amen, a couple of weeks ago this year. The song ADHD doesn't stand out in any way from the above description; well, maybe I would say it's a bit more electronic samples, and combined with the video created with AI tools, it's even crazier than the rest of his works. Heavy Mental genre.
Ministry - Every Day Is Halloween
The American band Ministry has been active since the early 1980s and is a veteran of the industrial metal genre. They have released 17 albums, the latest, The Squirrely Years Revisited, last week, with the opening song Every Day Is Halloween. After forty years of hard-charging, they've mellowed a bit. It's to be expected.
Better Joy - Carnival
Better Joy is an indie pop band from Manchester - a new band for me. They released their debut EP, Heading Into Blue, last week. The singer Brya Keely, with her simple and clean vocals, convinced me that she has what we call "something," and I will follow them in the future.
Postcards - Dust Bunnies
Postcards is a trio from Beirut, Lebanon. They have been active since 2012, have released 3 EPs and 4 albums, and are supposedly the oldest alternative band still standing in Beirut. The song "Dust Bunnies" is from their latest album, Ripe, which was released last week. Dreamy shoegaze and velvety vocals between melodic guitar, bass, and drums.
Snapped Ankles - Raoul
Snapped Angles is a London band that has been playing since 2017 and has released four albums, the last one, Hard Times Furious Dancing, just a week ago. This tune, Raul, is a preview for the album. It has post-rock or post-punk vibes, whatever you call it, melodic, strong beats, and electronics support. It will surely force you to move for all those lost in the unrelenting noise of the present. I recommend the whole album if anyone is interested.
Sam Akpro - I Can't See The Sun
Sam Akpro is another singer, songwriter, and producer from London. He's been working since 2019, has released a few singles and EPs, and his debut album, Evenfall, was released last week. He's a new artist for me, but I'll keep following him. Musically, he's in the R&B underground with enjoyable dub and pop additions that don't disappoint the listener.
πΆThat's all for today, and enjoy your weekend with new songs!
