Monday Walk
My wife and I are relaxing on the island of Pag on a beautiful sunny day with a temperature of 24°C. This weather is just begging for some kind of activity. At least a walk. So we went for a walk, not far, along the path that leads to the main road around the hill.

Actually, my wife wanted to see if the immortelle (Helichrysum italicum, a Mediterranean medicinal plant with yellow flowers that don’t wilt) and sage (Salvia officinalis, used in cooking and teas) were in bloom. The island of Pag is known for these. Everything smells wonderful, and we really enjoyed the intoxicating scents along the way.

The skeleton of a bird, most likely a seagull — at least that’s what Grok says.

Typical stone fences that landowners use to enclose their plots. Just rocks and herbs — you rarely find anything else on this rocky side of the island.

We’re now at the top, on the island’s main road; it’s ten kilometers to the town of Novalja to the right and fifteen kilometers to the town of Pag to the left.

Let’s head back down to the coast, but take a different route — the gravel road. There are beautiful views of Pag Bay, with the Velebit Mountains on the mainland in the background.

Almost back on the coast.

And to finish off, a dip in the sea. It’s 16°C — still too cold for swimming — but in a week or two, if the sun keeps shining like this, it’ll be possible.

Thank you for your attention!
