Beer Tasting: Tak Pale Ale and Froggy IPA

How are you? Do you have a reason to drink beer today? Because we always need a reason. Joy or sadness? Or just thirst? π
We celebrated two birthdays together in our house. My younger son and my wife decided to celebrate on the same day, even though they were two days apart because it was a weekend.
It was quite a pleasant evening. There was plenty of food and drinks, and we prepared everything ourselves. I had five minutes, two bottles, one Slovenian and one Austrian. I was happy to empty them, especially since the #beersaturday challenge is in its 400th iteration. That's a considerable number. BeerSaturday #400
Bewog Tak Pale Ale
Brewed by Bewog Brewery, Bad Radkersburg, Steiermark Austria. Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.5% ABV, IBU 35. Pale Ale style.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Tak. The myth. The legend. The beer that started our beer story and has been gathering a loyal fan base for over a decade now. A delicious combination of base and caramelised malts, overlayed with the juiciest and fruitiest hop varieties creates a highly balanced and dangerously enjoyable pale ale. Simple, but oh so tasty. You can never go wrong with Tak.

It's light brown, with average foam. It smells of hops. The sip goes smoothly down the throat. The mouth first tastes the bitterness of the hops, which dominates, then the caramel and citrus aromas. In the aftertaste, the bitterness and caramel linger for some time.
It was tasty and refreshing, just right for the pizza and hot dogs in batter we had with it. This celebration was a pizza party. We baked four trays of pizzas and had a lot of fun with it.

Reset Froggy IPA
Brewed by Reset Brewery, BreΕΎice, Lower Sava Region, Slovenia. Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.6% ABV, IBU 65. American IPA.
What do the Master Brewers say?
India Pale Ale the American way. From the moment it is poured into the glass, we are greeted by the intense citrus aromas of grapefruit, orange, melon, and lemongrass, which also translate into the taste. A delicate hint of caramel fills the body of the delicate bready flavor and is beautifully integrated and balanced with the more intense bitterness and flavors of the Amarillo, Simcoe, and Citra hops.

The beer is cloudy orange, with a solid head that disappears quickly. It smells of hops and citrus. The sip goes down the throat smoothly, and the palate is dominated by hop bitterness and tropical fruits, mainly grapefruit and melon. The hop bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for some time.
The bitterness is pronounced but not extreme and distant from other flavours, such as a drinkable and refreshing beer or a standard IPA. It is available in local shops.
And what did we listen to during the party? Oh, a lot, a lot of different music, but we started with the new CoffeShop Trip hop mix.
