Hello, beer lovers! š»
How are you holding up in this heat and the crypto crisis? The heat has gotten to my head too, and Iām wondering what our future will be like here. Who will survive and who wonāt? How will Hive front ends continue to develop without DHF? Are we already in a downward spiral with no turning back? Are the rats already fleeing the ship?
As just a regular blogger, I donāt have any solutions, but I do know that a glass of cold beer helps :) š»
Today I have two bottles in front of me, one Croatian and one Italian. Iāll happily empty them and share the experience with you. By the way: donāt stress too much about everything Iāve mentionedāitās bad for your health. The crisis is deeper than it seems, but the crypto world will endure, and Hive along with it.

Brewed by Brlog zadružna pivovara, Zadar, Croatia. Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.0% ABV, IBU N/A. Dry-hopped red ale style.
What do the Master Brewers say?
It represents justice, stubbornness, gusto, and freedom. Personality? A fighter and an adventurer. The one that takes you clubbing, a head turner, always on the right side. A delicacy for craft beer enthusiasts and more demanding taste buds due to the carefully selected dominance of floral and grassy hops, and at the same time a very drinkable, caramelly malty background.
This is my first time tasting a beer from this brewery. From what Iāve read, Brlog is a womenās cooperative; all their beers are named after women and have a ārebelā vibe. Interesting - I hope it tastes good.
The beer is light brown, cloudy, and amber; it has a small but persistent head. It smells of hops. It goes down smoothly; on the palate, I detect a solid bitterness from the hops, along with herbal and grassy aromas and hints of caramel. The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for a while.
Very refreshing and easy to drink! Itās not a classic red ale but rather quite hoppy and unfiltered, with a more herbal aroma and a hop-forward profile. Itās somewhere between an IPA (since itās distinctly hoppy) and a classic, sweeter red ale. I think IPA fans would really enjoy it. Itās not available in local stores here, but itās available almost everywhere in Croatia, so a few more bottles will probably end up in my fridge on the island. A very solid craft beer, if you ask me.

Brewed by Birra Amarcord, Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, for the Eurospin retail chain. Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.4% ABV, IBU N/A. Lager style.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Birra a 100% italiana con luppolo di Ravenna. Ingredienti acqua malto d'orzo luppolo. Origine del Luppolo Italia, Ravenna.
Iām probably a little biased, but hereās a disclaimer: I think most of the beers from the Eurospin retail chain are terrible, but this one seems to be in a slightly higher league. At least judging by the luxurious bottle. Amo Essere Eccellente is Eurospinās premium brand. The main thing they emphasize about this beer is that itās 100% Italian.
The beer is golden in color; the head is solid but fades quickly. It doesnāt have any particular aroma. It goes down smoothly; in my mouth, I taste a slight malt sweetness, followed by a mild bitterness from the hops and herbal notes. The aftertaste fades quickly.
A drinkable and refreshing beer. A solid supermarket lager, but nothing more and nothing less. Itās not a craft beer; itās not particularly aromatic, and itās definitely not on par with good Italian craft lagers or Czech pilsners. However, at ā¬1.50, itās very reasonable - good for a hot day or if you simply like the classic lager taste.
